Overview

The Fiesta Collection App can import your inventory from a CSV (Comma-Separated Values) file. This allows you to:

Transfer existing inventory from Excel, Google Sheets, or other spreadsheet programs
Bulk add many items at once
Maintain detailed notes and condition information

Step 1: Prepare Your Excel Spreadsheet

Required Columns

Column	Name	Required	Description	Examples

B	`colorName`	Yes	Exact color name as it appears in the app	Tangerine, Lapis

Optional ID Column

You can add a custom id column as the first column.

Shape Names

Use these exact names (case-insensitive but spelling must match):

Plates: Dinner Plate, Salad Plate, Luncheon Plate, Bread Plate, Chop Plate
Bowls: Cereal Bowl, Soup Bowl, Pasta Bowl, Serving Bowl
Cups & Mugs: Coffee Mug, Tea Cup, Jumbo Cup
Serveware: Sugar Bowl, Creamer, Salt Shaker, Pepper Shaker

Color Names

Use exact spellings as listed in the app:

Current: Tangerine, Lapis, Scarlet, Ivory, Peacock, Mulberry, Sunflower, Slate
Retired: Fiesta Red, Cobalt Blue, Forest Green, Yellow, Turquoise

Step 2: Export to CSV Format

Microsoft Excel

File → Save As
Choose "CSV (Comma delimited) (*.csv)"
Click Save and confirm if prompted

Google Sheets

File → Download → Comma-separated values (.csv)

Apple Numbers

File → Export To → CSV

Step 3: Import into the App

Method 1: During First Launch

After welcome screen, choose "Import from CSV"

Method 2: From Settings Menu

Tap ⚙️ → "Import Data" → "Import from CSV"

Troubleshooting

Common Errors

Shape not found: Check spelling against app dropdown
Color not found: Same as above
Invalid quantity: Use only numbers
Insufficient columns: Ensure required fields are present

Import completed:
✅ Successfully imported: 45 items
❌ Failed to import: 3 items

Errors:
  Row 12: Shape not found: "Large Plate"
  Row 18: Color not found: "Orange"
  Row 23: Invalid quantity: "several"
